Evening in Paris 2017

The Arlington Arts League's 2016 Spring Gala was held on Saturday, April 2nd in the Cacharel Grand Ballroom.  This year's celebration marked a significant milestone for our organization as we celebreated 20 years of promoting the arts and art education in Arlington!  Guests enjoyed an elegant evening that included dinner and dancing to the tunes of The Buzz Murphy Orchestra.  The event featured an extensive silent auction featuring a variety of appealing auction swag and our annual raffle featuring three great items.

Each year we work hard to put together a fabulous event for our guests, and this year's event did not disappoint!  Many thanks to everyone who came out to support us.  All proceeds from the event will benefit the League's community service programs including the Scholarship, ArtReach, and Art Docent Programs.

If you didn't make it to this year's festivities, we hope to see you next year!

As a woman of many hats, Nancy Tice, Past President of the Arlington Arts League, was one of ten women honored at “Legacy of Women Awards Luncheon” held at the Hilton in Ft. Worth, 10/12/16. “Nancy has been a long time Board Trustee of the Arlington Museum of Art and a daily volunteer that oversees and supports the museum. Nancy’s support not only helps achieve success for the Arlington Museum of Art but also the Arlington Arts League. Her dedication to educating and involving children in the Arts is supported through many events including her ‘Youth Art Month’”, which the League provides members to serve refreshments to the students and parents receiving the honor of having their art on display in the museum. Nancy has served in our outreach programs as an Art Docent and in our ArtReach programs as well as serving on our Executive Board in many capacities. Thank you Nancy for leaving a legacy in our community!

On December 4, 2015, Arlington Arts League Members and their guests attended the League's December General Meeting & Program. The program, conducted at the UT Arlington Art Studio Center, featured a hot glass-blowing demonstration by UTA Glass Area Coordinator, Professor Justin Ginsberg and talented artist, Neal Paustian who did an incredible job of moderating the presentation and answering questions for our guests. Those attending the program were fascinated by dedication and skills of the faculty & students who participated in the presentation.

A big "thank you" to AAL 2nd VP of Programs, Dorothy Rencurrel, for coordinating the event. A special thanks to Justin Ginsberg and his team for graciously hosting the event and sharing the talents of the outstanding group of students at this facility. On Saturday, September 26th, Arlington Arts League members and their guests attended the League's 2015 Membership Social & Margarita Party. This year's event was coordinated by AAL 1st VP of Membership, Robert Murillo and his team of volunteers including Nan Sansone & Mark Williams. Together they created a spectacular event on the south lawn of the historic Fielder House Museum that included festive latin music, delicious food provided by El Gobacho, and of course, ice cold margaritas! League President, Catherine Brown, presided over the event.

We hope all of our members enjoyed the evening, and WELCOME to all of the new members who joined our organization! Thanks go out to our bartenders for the evening, Ed Brown and Mark Williams. And a HUGE thanks to Geraldine Mills and The Fielder House Museum for allowing us to hold the event at this special site. We couldn't have done it without you!

Welcome to The Arlington Arts League!

The Arlington Arts League, Inc. was approved by the State of Texas and the Internal Revenue Service as a non-profit 501 (c) (3) arts organization on November 20, 1996.  The organization promotes and supports the visual and performing arts, art education, cultural events, volunteer participation in the Art Docent and ArtReach programs, and other special community service projects.

The Arts League's programs and community service projects are funded by an annual fundraiser and individual gifts.  Programs supported by the League include but are not limited to the following:

Art Docent Program:  A program to recruit and train docents to assist with art education in the Arlington Independent School District's (AISD) 5th & 6th grades.  Informative training sessions are held monthly (Sept. - April) on pre-selected works of art.  The Arts League provides limited funds for resources and materials. All Art Docents receive Honorary Memberships to the Arlington Arts League.

ArtReach Program:  A program designed to make the arts accessible to young and old alike through events at retirement centers, children's activity centers, and shelters.  Presentations include art demonstrations, "hands-on" art projects,  musical performances, and field trips to performing arts productions.

Scholarship Program:  Scholarships are awarded to students enrolled in the Fine Arts Programs at UTA, TCC Southeast Campus, and graduating seniors from Arlington High Schools entering into a Fine Arts Program.  Winners are chosen through auditions and judging conducted each spring by the League.  All scholarships are funded by the League's annual fundraiser and memorial scholarships presented by benefactors.

Membership is open to all who are interested in the objectives of the organization.  Meetings and special events are held throughout the year for members and prospective members.
